whAT IS mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a research-based method of training attention and focus. It is the practice of experiencing the present moment and becoming more self-aware of thoughts and behaviours. Just as we train our body to be fit and strong, mindfulness is a way we can train our mind to become more resilient and able to cope with daily stress and the challenges we face in life. As we train the mind we become empowered to take responsibility of our own thoughts, feelings and actions.

 

our approach

Our mindfulness training is grounded in the research based techniques of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) incorporating meditation, breath awareness and mindfulness practices to enable individuals to alleviate stress, calm the mind, improve focus and elicit states of restorative relaxation. We offer our clients meditations for daily calm, mindfulness techniques for improved focus and breath awareness exercises to manage stress, overwhelm and anxiety.
